The Carroll County 1000 Acre Recreational Lake is the largest man-made lake in West Tennessee. The vision of the honorable Dale R. Kelly is now named Lake Halford, after a committee in the Tennessee House of Representatives killed a local effort in March of 2024 to rename Lake Halford back to the original name of Carroll County 1000-Acre Recreational Lake.
